With its vast and diverse shopping varieties, this e-commerce platform has introduced its latest ride hailing service – ComfortDelGro available in Lazada Singapore.
This comes after ComfortDelGro has added 25 private-hire cars to its ride-hailing service in January as part of a month-long trial, competing against big giants such as Grab and Gojek. While going cashless is only the payment method, passengers who use the app may either select a taxi or go for a ride in one of the private-hire vehicles.
With Lazada heading towards becoming a super app with various offers for services under one-go. From becoming an online shopping mall to browse and window shop, to including ride hailing service. Apart from users selling items, Lazada also came in terms with various brands to place their very own products in the platform such as Tefal, L’Occitane, Razer and many more.
Lazada, operated by Alibaba Group offers trading, logistics, and payment services in 6 countries in Asia: Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines. Lazada’s big aim is to garner 300 million clients by 2030. Covid-19 being one of the main reasons consumers have shifted towards e-commerce, spiked in profit growth of up to 120% year-on-year (YoY). And 87.69% of top users from Malaysia scrolled through Lazada with an average of 6 minutes.
